Deleting your data

For Whisprompt (Whisprompt: Teleprompter), published by Leonid Kabanov.

Your scripts, your recordings and your audio never reach us, so there is nothing on our side to delete for them: they live on your device, and removing the app removes them with it. The one exception is a screenshot or screen recording you choose to attach to a message you send us — that we do receive, and it is in the table below. What follows is about the little we do hold.

In the app, in three taps

  1. Open Settings — the gear in the top right of the library.
  2. Tap Data on our servers.
  3. Tap Delete our record of your devices, and confirm.

That deletes, immediately, the record our relay keeps of the devices on your subscription and the name each of them reports for itself. The same screen tells you what is left elsewhere and who holds it.

By email, for everything else

  1. Write to support@whisprompt.app from the address you want us to act on, or from any address if you tell us which device or subscription you mean.
  2. Say what you want deleted: your usage measurements, your crash reports, your subscription record, or all of them.
  3. We reply, and we do it. No reason is required, and asking costs you nothing — the app keeps working exactly as before.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Usage measurementsDeleted at Amplitude on request. Only exist at all if you allowed the measuring; if you never did, there are none.
Crash reportsDeleted at Sentry on request. Kept no longer than 90 days in any case, and only exist if you allowed them.
The record of your devicesDeleted from our relay, by you, in the app — see above. Otherwise deleted automatically once a year has passed with none of those devices using it.
Subscription recordDeleted with your customer profile at RevenueCat, our payment processor, on request.
Support emailsDeleted on request. Otherwise kept only as long as handling your request needs.
Messages sent from inside the app, and anything attached to themHeld for us by Cloudflare in Western Europe and deleted automatically after two years. Deleted sooner on request — quote the reference the app showed you when it sent. The same request deletes the copies made while we read and answer it, which the automatic deletion does not reach — the Privacy Policy says where they are.
Kept: store transaction recordsApple and Google keep their own anonymised record of a purchase for accounting and tax. We cannot delete those, and neither can you — they are the two companies' legal obligation, not ours.
Not ours to delete: your scripts and recordingsThey are on your device and are never sent to us — except a screenshot or screen recording you attach to a message yourself, which is the row above. Delete them in the app, or remove the app.

How long it takes

The in-app deletion is immediate. An emailed request is answered within 30 days, and normally within a couple of business days.

What each of these services holds, and why, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
